At the beginning of the summer, I talked with the youth about having an epic summer. Summer is when you have a concentrated amount of time to either develop yourself or let yourself drift. In an effort to be intentional this summer, it's time for our first Boredom Buster! (Cheesy name, I know, but I haven't thought of a better one. Suggestions anyone?) So, below is a 30 day photo challenge. Each day record an image that is _________ (insert the word of the day) to you.
I say "record" rather than "take a picture of" because if you're more of a drawer or a writer than a photographer, go ahead and write or draw what you chose for the day! After you record your image, take a few minutes to write down why you chose that image. If you're a smart phone user and you want to store everything on your phone, then you can create an album and save all your pictures in it. Plus, you can write down your reflections in your notes and screen shot them to add your reflection notes to the album.
Basically, find what works for you and take a little time each day to reflect on your perspective. Then share it with someone because sharing helps you grow even more and makes it all more fun! And you can always share your comments and reflections in the comments section below. Have a fantastic summer!
